Dashboard guide: outreach and status
Four sections of your dashboard tell you what JOEY is doing right now: the JOEY status card, the My JOEY health card, the output gauges, and the live status ribbon along the bottom. They share one rule. A surface with no reading shows grey or "unknown", never green. A green anywhere on this dashboard means a fresh reading found real evidence, and "we could not look" always says so in words.
JOEY status, the card that talks
The JOEY status card near the top of the left rail narrates your JOEY in the third person. Its headline follows your own schedule, the same one the Clock and Schedule controls edit, so it never narrates a shift you did not set.

While JOEY is working, the sentence carries the numbers that are true right now, and it keeps them apart on purpose: messages sent by JOEY, messages sent by you (replies you type in the dashboard count as yours), and messages held, split into business hours and after hours. If the auto dialer is off the sentence says so, because "working" with no calls going out is half a truth. If nothing has gone out yet the card says "nothing has gone out yet today" rather than printing three zeros. When view-only is on, the sentence changes shape to "JOEY is watching, not sending", with the count of sends it detected and how long view-only has been on. When work is being released after view-only, it reads "JOEY is catching up" with the number still queued. A separate sentence, "JOEY tried to send and could not", appears whenever JOEY failed to press Send at least once today; that means a send broke, and the card keeps it out of the held count so a broken sender cannot look like a careful one.
Under the headline, a health line gives a verdict on the machines behind your JOEY:

My JOEY, the health card
My JOEY answers one question for your own account: is my JOEY healthy right now? It reads the same per-account data the rest of your dashboard reads, polls once a minute, and shows a coloured dot, a headline and a detail line, plus today's counts where it has them. A part of your JOEY counts as reporting in when its last heartbeat is under two minutes old, and three cards on the page share that number so they cannot disagree about what "live" means.

The order of that table is the order the card checks in, and the order is the policy: a refused login is named before a quiet fleet, and a failed read is grey rather than red or green.
Output gauges
Under the live fleet view, six dials show your output per hour: Calls, Emails, Texts, Tasks done, Videos and New Leads. The per-hour figure is the count since your shift started divided by the hours elapsed, and it appears only once half an hour of the shift has passed; before that the dial shows the plain count labelled "today", because a single text two minutes into a shift would read as 30 per hour. The line under the title says where you are in the shift, for example "2.5 hours into your regular shift, from 09:00", or "No shift scheduled today".
Calls, Emails and Texts come from the same account-wide count the rest of the dashboard uses, so the dials cannot disagree with the page. Tasks done, Videos and New Leads have no per-account source today and read "not available" with the reason, because a zero there would claim you finished no tasks, which is a different and false statement. The dials refresh every 10 seconds, and a reading older than 90 seconds carries its age instead of a live label. There is no target line and no pace colour on these dials, because nobody set a target for your account and the card will not invent one. The Graphs view plots what this browser tab has watched happen since it opened, and the pace analysis under each graph is computed from that same sample.
The live status ribbon
A ticker runs along the very bottom of the dashboard, like the strip on a news channel. Each item names a surface, its state and how old the reading is. Five states exist, each with its own glyph so the meaning survives greyscale and colour-blindness:

The ribbon's overall colour is the worst of its items, and an empty list counts as unknown. PAUSE freezes the ticker (hover and keyboard focus freeze it too), DETAIL opens a panel listing each item with its reading age and the legend above, and HIDE removes the ribbon and leaves a LIVE STATUS tab at bottom centre to bring it back. Under a reduced-motion preference the ribbon does not scroll at all and becomes a strip you scroll yourself.
The items on the ribbon describe the platform behind JOEY: platform health, any subsystem that is not producing, the relay the dashboard reads through, the auto dialer, and lead coverage (whether every lead in the list was read before the dialer chose who to call). Those readings are limited to the account owner, so on your dashboard the ribbon reads "this detail is limited to the account owner, not a sign of a problem with your JOEY". A withheld reading and a broken reading are different things, and only one of them is yours to worry about. The dialer item, where it is shown, reads "Dialing.", "Idle, switch is off.", "Paused. No calls going out, last call 47m ago." (degraded, because a live but paused dialer is the failure that hides best), "Dialer daemon is not running." (failing) or "Dialer state last written 12m ago." (stale).
When a reading goes stale, the ribbon re-reads it on its own, at most three times in ten minutes and at least 30 seconds apart, and says so in the DETAIL panel. That automatic recovery only ever re-reads data. It never restarts, pauses or reconfigures anything that contacts a customer.
What "held" means
Held means JOEY composed a message, reached the point of pressing Send, and did not press it, for a reason it can name. Each hold lands in one bucket, and the dashboard shows the buckets in plain words, largest first:

View-only is the mode where nothing goes out while the system keeps operating, ready to pick up the moment it is switched off. It covers the auto dialer, customer texts, customer emails, the consent opt-in text and the first contact ritual, and it is enforced on the machine that sends, so closing a tab or losing a session cannot resume messaging without anyone deciding it. When view-only is switched off, you choose what happens to the held work: send it at a pace (5 per cycle by default) or mark it done, and every sending rule still applies to each message as it goes back out.
Until live sending is signed off for your account, the JOEY Virtual Machine works your list in shadow mode and sends nothing: JOEY prepares the work, and you send it yourself, the draft-only mode. Once live sending is signed off you can also run auto-send with review; both run automatically and both are human-supervised, because the terms require you to watch the screen during scheduled hours. Once live sending is on, the status card and the gauges count what JOEY sent apart from what you sent, and the held buckets above account for each message that was composed and did not go.
When something looks stale
Read the surfaces in this order:
- My JOEY. Grey means the card could not look, and the detail line says which of the two reasons. Red with "Your JOEY is down" means a fresh read found no live heartbeat.
- The JOEY status health line. "Status stale as of 13:40" tells you the last time the card saw the fleet; over 10 minutes without a fresh reading turns green into "cannot confirm".
- The output gauges. The "as of" line under the dials turns amber with the reading's age once it passes 90 seconds, and "Could not read your output" names the error.
- The live status ribbon. Stale outranks degraded here, because a stale surface may already be failing without saying so.
If every surface agrees that it cannot see, the problem sits between your browser and the platform, and the public status page is the next place to look. If the surfaces disagree, believe the one reporting stale or unknown: each surface here is built so that an absent reading outranks a comfortable one.
