Terms you will meet on getjoey.app, in your dashboard and on this site, one sentence each. Where a term has its own page, the sentence links to it.

Plans and pricing

  • Free. The $0 plan: the full JOEY feature set at a lower daily volume (25 texts, 25 emails and 20 dialer calls a day), so upgrading buys capacity rather than features.
  • Green Pea. The $150 per month entry plan, with automated outreach metered at 100 texts, 100 emails and 50 auto dialer calls a day.
  • Pro. The $200 per month plan the site leads with: no daily caps, plus the Beast Mode dialer, CPV, an analytics dashboard and phone support.
  • Pro Beast. The $500 per month plan: everything in Pro, running on dedicated inference capacity with a priority queue and faster response SLAs.
  • Concierge. The $1,000 per month plan: everything in Pro Beast plus a dedicated account manager and hands-on help such as vehicle delivery and driver dispatch.
  • Enterprise. The custom-priced option for corporate and multi-rooftop groups, scoped as a conversation rather than sold as a card.
  • Solo. A retired $100 plan that is no longer sold; accounts still on it keep their price and Green Pea's text and email caps, with no auto dialer.
  • Unlimited (uncapped). No daily usage cap; fair-use rate limits and the safety guards every plan runs under (quiet hours, suppression, and one active sender) still apply.
  • JOEY Virtual Machine add-on. $39 per month for hosted hardware time set aside for your account, included with plans of $500 per month and up, and at no extra charge on every plan until September under a limited-time promotion. See Plans and limits.

Modes of operation

  • Mode of operation (run mode). Where JOEY runs: on the JOEY Virtual Machine today, or inside the Chrome extension on your own computer once that ships.
  • JOEY Virtual Machine (VPS). The hosted mode available today: JOEY runs on dedicated hardware time set aside for your account, targeting a 24/7 duty cycle, with no computer to leave on. See Setup: run mode (VPS).
  • Chrome extension. The mode that runs inside Chrome on your own computer and prepares drafts from your DriveCentric conversation; under development, coming out soon, and not selectable yet. See Setup: the Chrome extension.
  • Early access. The current status of the JOEY Virtual Machine: you join from Settings and the JOEY team provisions your machine by hand.
  • Credentials vault. The place in Settings where you enter your own CRM login yourself, encrypted the moment you save it.
  • Shadow mode. A JOEY that works the list and sends nothing; a JOEY provisioned for the first time starts here with autopilot off, and the trust page marks shadow-mode capabilities as "logged, nothing sent".
  • Live sending. Unattended sending to real customers from a hosted runner, which stays locked until the JOEY team signs it off for an account.
  • View-only. A mode in which nothing goes out while the system keeps operating, enforced on the machine that sends; it covers the auto dialer, customer texts, customer emails, the consent opt-in text and the first contact ritual.
  • Catch-up pace. How fast work held under view-only goes back out once view-only is switched off: 5 per cycle by default, 10 or 20 per cycle, everything within the first hour, or a custom 1 to 100 per cycle.
  • Held. A message JOEY composed and did not send, for a named reason such as view-only, not ours, after hours, opted out, no phone or email, or already contacted. See Dashboard guide: outreach and status.
  • Detected. The count of sends JOEY prepared while watching under view-only, named on the status card apart from what was sent.

The dashboard

  • Dashboard. The control room for your JOEY: the aggression dial, the auto dialer and the rest of your settings, with changes taking effect while JOEY is running. See Dashboard and Loadouts.
  • Loadout. A named preset that sets your dashboard theme, which of the five section groups show, and which quick stats appear in the top row; Morning Grind and Night Watch ship built in.
  • Schedule. The working hours you set during onboarding, which JOEY starts and stops by, clamped inside the legal window. See Schedule Controls.
  • Extra Time. An optional window in your schedule for JOEY to work outside your normal hours.
  • Overtime. A second optional window, switched on by a toggle, for JOEY to work past the regular shift.
  • Quiet hours. The legal window every send must fall inside; your Extra Time and Overtime windows never widen past it.
  • Aggression dial. The dashboard control that changes how hard JOEY works, while it is working.
  • Auto dialer. JOEY's power dialer: it works your lead list one call at a time and routes each call to your desk phone or mobile. See The Autodialer Queue.
  • Beast Mode. The aggressive, unmetered auto dialer mode on Pro and above.
  • Steady mode. The auto dialer mode on Free and Green Pea, the fastest option on those plans.
  • Live Fleet View. The dashboard section that shows the parts of your JOEY that are running and reporting in.
  • Output gauges. Six dials under the live fleet view showing your per-hour rate for Calls, Emails, Texts, Tasks done, Videos and New Leads.
  • JOEY status. The card near the top of the left rail that narrates what your JOEY is doing in the third person, following your own schedule.
  • My JOEY. The health card that answers "is my JOEY healthy right now" from your own account's data, in green, yellow, red or grey.
  • Live status ribbon. The ticker along the bottom of the dashboard that names each surface, its state and the age of its reading.
  • Heartbeat. The regular check-in each part of your JOEY sends; a part counts as live when its last heartbeat is under two minutes old.
  • Healthy. Producing what it should, and the reading is current.
  • Unknown. No reading at all, which is never treated as healthy.
  • Degraded. Running, but not at full output; part of the work is not getting done.
  • Stale. A reading too old to describe right now, to be treated as history rather than current state.
  • Failing. Not producing what it should; needs attention now.
  • Tenant. One JOEY account, with its own dashboard, persona and schedule; in a dealer group each rooftop is its own tenant, and one tenant cannot see another's leads or pipeline.
  • Persona. Your name, tone, sign-off and schedule as JOEY uses them, set during onboarding under Account.

Outreach

  • First Contact Ritual. The six-step sequence JOEY runs on every new lead: the first note, the call, the text opt-in, the profile scan, the email and the final note. See the ritual in your dashboard.
  • 2MD (2 Minute Drill). The first note of the ritual, carrying the lead type and the lead details known at detection, written before any dialling.
  • Simple mode. The default ritual mode: one call to the lead, with no call outcome to choose.
  • Advanced mode. The ritual mode that places up to three calls in quick succession, stopping as soon as one reaches a conversation, with a CRM outcome chosen for each call.
  • Profile scan. The ritual step that reads the customer's profile; for a KBB instant cash offer lead it opens the offer link and pulls the vehicle, the offer amount and the customer details.
  • Text opt-in. The consent text JOEY sends before any other text: "May I text you? Reply YES to confirm."
  • Reactivator. JOEY's re-engagement engine, which mines your existing pipeline and keeps each lead warm on a configurable schedule of touches per day. See How JOEY works.
  • Phase. One distinct type of outreach or action in JOEY's engine, such as first contact, reactivation or trade-in follow-up; JOEY runs more than twenty.
  • Reply window. The 120 seconds (configurable) you get to answer a lead's reply yourself before JOEY sends a contextual reply for you.
  • CPV (CRM Pro View). Your whole CRM as one live operator console, included from Pro up.
  • Deal Tracker. A stage-grouped pipeline board for tracking deals from first contact through sold. See Deal Tracker.
  • Appointment Tracker. The dashboard card that tracks every appointment JOEY or you set and confirms it. See Appointment Tracker.
  • Autodialer queue. The TCPA-gated call queue the auto dialer works one lead at a time.

Compliance and integrations

  • TCPA. The US law behind the opt-in text, quiet hours and opt-out handling that apply to every account. See Coverage: States and Compliance.
  • Opt-out (STOP). A customer reply of STOP or an equivalent, which JOEY honours at once and keeps honouring.
  • Suppression. The rule that JOEY does not message a customer a coworker's note says is handled, or who has opted out; on any doubt the send does not go.
  • Coverage. The fifteen US states plus the Vancouver market where JOEY operates today, set by the state you choose at signup.
  • KYC. The identity verification step of onboarding, required for every account type including Free.
  • DriveCentric. One of the two dealership CRMs with JOEY's deepest support today (Tekion is the other), and the CRM the rest of this site describes. JOEY works with any CRM: VinSolutions is being added now, and any other CRM gets supported free of charge on request. See Connecting DriveCentric.
  • KBB ICO. A Kelley Blue Book instant cash offer lead; JOEY pulls the vehicle, the offer amount and the customer details from the offer link during the profile scan.
  • Calendar feed. A read-only iCalendar subscription of your own appointments, identified by a token, that Google, Apple and Outlook calendars can subscribe to. See API and integrations.

Company

  • MADITECH. The Seattle technology company, operating since 2019, that designs and runs JOEY; a subsidiary of MARS Corp International. See About.
  • Lucky Ranasinghe. The creator and owner of MADITECH and JOEY; contact lucky@maditech.group.
  • Code name. The public name each of MADITECH's 200 apps carries until its final name is announced; the app registry lists the code name as the app's name.
  • Portfolio hub. maditech.group/apps, the page that links every MADITECH site and product.
